Welcome Janice Overbeck!
Retirenet.com would like to welcome a new team agent, Janice Overbeck, to our team. Janice Overbeck is an Atlanta native and is known as one of the mostsuccessful agents in the metro-Atlanta market. She is sought after by industry professionals for her real estate tactics and expertise and has been a featured speaker for several local and national real estate meetings and conferences. In fact, Janice is often quoted on the front of the Atlanta Journal Constitution for her knowledge of the Atlanta Real Estate market. She has been named a local real estate expert and has been featured by 11 Alive News, WSBTV Channel 2, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and Real Estate Radio Atlanta. At age 29 she was selected by the National Association of Realtors as one of the 30 Under 30 rising stars in the Real Estate Industry. Only 30 people were selected from tens of thousands of Realtors in the United States. Janice has also served on various real estate panels across the state as a top producer and real estate expert. Janice earned her bachelor's degree in marketing with a minor in Spanish before obtaining a Masters in Business from Kennesaw State University. She is trilingual and speaks English, German, and Spanish. Janice and her husband, Gunar, have four daughters ranging from age two to eight. She enjoys spending her downtime with her family. Janice and her family attend church at Mount Paran North Church of God. She is currently serving as a Child Ambassador for World Vision. After her Father, Fred Seidell, passed away from ALS, she has been committed to finding a cure for the disease. Janice donates a portion of her commissions to the Emory University ALS research fund. In December of 2016, Janice and her husband purchased a Cobb County landmark, Hollycrest Hall, where 60,800+ cars pass by daily, and converted it into the business office. Having this high visibility space allows Janice and her team to host client and community events each month. The Janice Overbeck Real Estate Team, with Keller Williams Atlanta North, consists of 25 real estate professionals, including a sales team and a full-time administrative staff. They have received many awards over the years from local and national levels. There are too many awards to mention, but one recent award that they are very proud of and just recently took home was being named the #1 Real Estate Team in Cobb County, GA for 2018 by the Cobb Association of Realtors. Their expertise is in listing homes and getting them SOLD all while ensuring that the client has a five star experience. Janice and her husband are also avid house flippers and have been flourishing in the market since it tanked in 2007. Despite the economic downturn, their business continued to grow successfully and they have flipped over 100 houses to date! To bring it all full circle, Janice started a non-profit 501c3 charity, JO Gives in 2016 and currently raises money for four programs it supports: Homeless Pets Foundation, Emory University, Chin Up Foundation, and Project Mexico. The thing that drives Janice the most is the ability to give back to the community she loves and adores so much and with the help of JO Gives Inc. she’s able to do just that. She holds many events at her real estate office, such as poker nights, wine tastings, art shows, pet adoptions, low-cost vaccination clinics, and more to help pour into her charity. As of August 2019, JO Gives Inc. has raised over $241,000.
